Light Dance, Port Stanley

Painted en plein air with fog rolled up over Thatcher Pass at sunrise. Port Stanley is one of my favorite painting venues, with its peaceful persona. There's always a little mystery about what's out there in the fog, until you hear the ferry boats with their loud horns talking back and forth. They sound like bassoons warming up in an orchestra pit, just before a live stage production! I could hear, but not see the boats as they passed about 2 miles out.
