Ship Harbor, Anacortes

Painted from the back of the Anacortes ferry parking lot on a calm sunny afternoon in July. Loved the peaceful mood of the sky and water. The old cannery pilings (1890's) are still in the water, as are the "tin rocks" from the foundry, as they simply dumped excess molten metal into the water near the shoreline during the canning process. My how things have changed for the better with modern shoreline management.
