Village Homestead, 1981

I could see this building near Lopez Village was about to dissolve into the earth and loved the proximity of the old farm house with the water tower there. The blackberry bushes were growing through the doors and windows when I did this one. Ironically, Tom Skerritt, famous movie star, acquired the property as he was building "Edenwild Inn" sometime in the 1990's and completely restored and resurrected this beautiful site, which now houses a natural foods restaurant, Apothecary and local brewery.
Done "en plein air" in 1981 while sitting in an old pick-up truck along the county road at Lopez Village. Ball Point pen on watercolor paper
