Morning Sun Shadows

Painted at the fields just below Union Cemetery and Center Church on Lopez Island with a marine layer over the distant Straits of Juna de Fuca below the Olypmic Mountains. The distant blues together with marine layers in early morning light gave this field an exciting warm contrast so typical in the San Juan Islands. This painting was selected for the "Top 100" in the June Salon, by Plein Air Magazine annual competition out of 834 entries from 2 countries and won honorable mention in the same compeition. It is hanging on my awards and honors wall at Windswept Fine Art Gallery on Lopez Island. Available at $5500.00
