So many of the old barns around the islands are leaning into their final days. This one is @ 130 years old, situated in a fabulous sweep of field towards the Straits of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains in the distance. Beyond the obvious weather effects are the human stories these old buildings have witnessed. It's what compels me to stop and give them all the attention they have earned . . . I get goose bumps thinking about the testimonials from a simple red barn.
