This was done in my studio from another "plein air" version at the klickitat River Gorge, where the Yakima Nation still fishes with dip nets in the swirling waters.
A very strong wind was whipping-up the gorge when I did the original version of this painting, forcing me to hang-on to my easel the entire time I painted, which rather forced quick strokes and good decisions with color and value, to get the action of everything here..
