I awoke to the ferry boats sounding their horns this morning and headed straight for my favorite water vista at Port Stanley, less than a mile from my home.
It's the beginning of the autumn season in the San Juan Islands, when we get fog that blankets the water, ebbs and flows like tidal currents. Subdued Light one minute and then everything goes into motion as the marine layers shift from barely visible distance to back lit atmospheric effects.
