Olympic View, June 4, 2021

These fields just east of Center Church on Lopez Island have a great view of the Olympic Mountains through the distant trees. Haying season has just started and this is the first field I've seen to be baled.The wind coming off the Straits of Juan de Fuca made it a challenge, as I held onto my easel the whole session. I was so lucky to have Karlena Pickering, photographer extraordinaire, shooting a video as I painted this.
