New Dawn

Painted from reference photos taken the same morning at Bennet Rd. and Hiway #536 in the Skagit Valley, looking east into the sunrise. I loved the distant light created by the sunrise and how it splayed across a grassy field in front of an old farmhouse with the road and trees forming the whole scene with a feeling of mystery around that far corner.
