Color Riot at Island Thyme Farms

Summer in full swing with lavender fields framing the distant "Soap shed" at Island Thyme Farm, at Olga, on Orcas Island. These farm buildings were all made @1910. The "soap shed" is where Chris and Eliza Morris assemble their wonderful herbal products for Island Time Farm business. I can imagine the first farmers on this land would be very proud to see their original farm (complete with old fruit trees still standing and bearing) preserved in such a thoughtful manner. One that underscores the rural character and beauty of this part of Orcas Island.
