Manini Beach, Kona Coast

Painted en plein air near Kona, HI., December 19, 2023. The distant, sun-struck  cliffs is where the Captain Cook Memorial is located. I loved how the surf broke a mile out, wrapping around the rocks and how the light charged water changed colors coming into the shore. Framed with Optium Museum acrylic in a 4 1/4" wide wood bronze colored molding, using Passe Partout (direct contact) framing method for pastels.
