Grape Harvest, Manarola Italy

The wine grapes are harvested from extremely steep terraced vineyards above the village and hand carried down into the village for hand pressing. In the fall, grapes are everywhere, in tubs, baskets, "Ape" cars carrying them to markets, as well as portered on strong shoulders quickly to the wine presses.
