Mid day near the winter solstice, painted from our home looking about one mile south to the old historical houses lining the beach at Port Stanley, Swifts Bay, Lopez Island. I loved how the low sun angle caught silvery reflections in the water, which were dramatized by the deep violets and greens of the background trees..
