Kalaupapa Overlook Molokai

Painted en plein air, February 22 2026 form the overlook at Pala' au Stete Park on Molokai Island. The Kalaupapa Settlement for people with Hansen's disease is located on the peninsula@ 2000' below and in not accessible, except by airplane or boat. The landscape had an ethereal feel to it in all directions. I was nearly blown off the cliffs here trying to paint this one with a winter storm that hit the whole archipelago during the mnth of February.
